About Us
Hola! Welcome to our news outlet for all things Bucerias. We’re so happy you’ve joined us. We aim to provide interesting community news that will keep you following. There’s certainly a lot to draw from!
Publishing our first articles within days of the unfortunate end of the Vallarta Tribune in December 2019, we believed the time had come to channel local news among our neighbours.
Here, you’ll find our take on daily life in Bucerias, including personal interest stories, upcoming events, local history, restaurant highlights, real estate interests, health news and more.
We love, love, love to hear from you.
Contact us to have your event, fundraiser, milestone or special occasion announced.
Stop us and say hello when you’re out and about. We look forward to meeting you!
Here’s a little about us:
Dennis Wilson
…”Dennis” is currently under construction…
…moved to Bucerias knowing this is the Best. Decision. Ever. Kelly enjoys observing people who have never been here as they soak up the magic of the area. A former bi-weekly columnist for the Vallarta Tribune, Kelly tackled this project with a passion focused specifically on Bucerias. “Dennis and I are having so much fun, meeting many new people, and learning more about our beautiful town every time we chat with someone. When covering local topics, the what, where and when is easy. It’s the who, how and why that we like to explore and share with our readers. Launching this site with the partnership of my husband, who also holds the rank of my very best friend, is another Best. Decision. A giant thank you for reading and following, and for coming back for more.

Victoria Pratt has enjoyed residency in Bucerias for 20 years, taking a big leap from north of the 49th parallel to living life in the tropics when she bought a partially constructed home in 1997—an era when there were just a handful of houses along the shore, all but one or two buildings that could be called a condo, highway 200 was still two lanes and there wasn’t a single bank or supermarket. Pratt was active in the hospitality, public relations and property management business in the early days, as an extension of her North American career, getting Bucerias on the map in many leading travel publications and guide books, among other things. She entered the real estate field in 2004 when the first major wave of growth and development was taking place along the greater North Shore area. As a real estate professional, she remains a constant ambassador for Bucerias, enthusiastically sharing her appreciation for all it contributes to the mosaic and diversity of the area—its warm-hearted people, simplistic living, enduring tradition, artsy and foody edge, its jewel of long sandy beach and what she considers to be the site of some of the finest sunsets on earth. Pratt is certified by the Mexican National Association of Professional Realtors (AMPI), fluent in Spanish, able to translate legal documents and provide the highest level of service to ensure safe transactions for any type of property investment. The favourite part of her job is when she gets to hand over the keys to her customer’s new tropical abode. Victoria contributes regularly with insight on real estate-related matters and “nice-to-know” topics for both residents and visitors alike. victoria@timothyrealestategroup.com
Horace and his wife Jennifer are relatively new to Bucerias, having arrived in late 2019. They love the wonderful people of Bucerias, the rich Mexican culture, the foods, the growing arts scene and of course, the beautiful natural setting. Since arriving, they have been active as volunteers at the Migrant School, the Chalk Art Festival and the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration. Horace is a retired educator and amateur photographer. While primarily a portrait photographer, he also loves capturing scenes of sand and surf and everyday life in Bucerias.
