I recently touched on the boom in Bucerias, and mentioned I would follow up with a few people around town to gain their insight.

David Pletz – The condo boom in Bucerias is largely supported by the demand of buyers to own property in a slower paced, laid back community, which Bucerias is known for. The community offers all kinds of amenities, and its proximity to the airport is a drawing card as well. 

Bucerias has preserved  public beach access points at every street, while many developed areas around the bay have not done so. 

The sloping terrain that the town is built on allows for great views.

Many people who are buying properties have very similar things on their wish list: ocean front or ocean view, ten minute walk or less to the beach, less than one hour from the airport, and amenities like shopping, restaurants, banks, hospital, and scenic and walkable areas…Bucerias checks all those boxes.   

Time and time again I have done the bay tour with prospective clients starting at Puerto Vallarta, and most buyers end up being drawn to the North Shore – specifically Bucerias and La Cruz. 

The availability of land to build high rise condominiums has been ample over the past years. The land is getting used up now, however there are still many more developments in the works so the boom will continue for years to come!
