Here we are already…the unofficial commencement of summer. We hope you enjoyed your long weekend celebrating Victoria Day or Memorial Day to the North. If you’re still in the Bay area, we assume you’re finding ways to stay cool during the humidity ahead.

This past February, through friends of friends, we had the distinct pleasure of meeting Michael Mischke and Gail Tipping, who visited Bucerias from their home in Southern Ontario. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon together, had a ton of laughs, and we look forward to spending more time with them as they seek home ownership right here in our beautiful town. Michael advised he arrived in Bucerias for the first time in July 2022, and returned with the Lovely Gail in February 2023 to continue their search together.

In chatting, we discovered Michael has a special talent for the art of photography. Upon seeing his intimate and unique shots, we were mesmerized by Michael’s end product, and knew we had to bring it to you, our readers and fellow lovers of Bucerias.

This next one is my personal favourite. Unbeknownst to Dennis, this photo was captured during Michael’s visit last summer, prior to the four of us even meeting…guess who that is buzzing by on the golf cart? Yep, our Dennis! Michael explains, he was actually aiming for a photo of the old “Mark’s Bar & Grill”, when this cart was suddenly in the shot!
