A Lesson in Craft Beer

Barrels, kegs, steins, mugs, glasses, bottles, cans. It’s beer we are talking about, right? Archeologists indicate that beer was being produced some 4,000 years BC. Let’s move the clock ahead 6,000 years and enjoy our visit to “Cerveceria de Bahia de Banderas Brewery.” Aaron the brewmaster followed his dream and today, with his wife Jennah, operates a first class brewing operation right here in Bucerias.

Having been customers since opening day, I will describe our routine. We each start with a flight, which is smaller samples of each beer. Having tried each of the five options, we now select our daily favourite. One of those games you can’t lose.

Good news for those of us who stick around all year long…the brewery will remain open throughout the summer!

In the video below, Aaron explains what to look for in his various handcrafted beers.

We needed a volunteer to taste each of the beers. The Academy Award goes to our good friend Mark who gave his time unselfishly!

The setting is open air, bright, cheery, lots of good kitchen smells happening, various libations, and of course beer brewed on site. Check out our original story about the brewery here: https://buceriaslifeintheslowlane.com/bahia-de-banderas-brewery/

Open Thursday through Monday from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, the brewery is located east of the lateral – turn right on Encino (at Panquekis House), then turn right on Calle del Canal, or find them on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/Cervecer%C3%ADa-Bahia-de-Banderas-Brewery-103625537672108
