Day-to-Day

May You Have 20/20 Vision

This is our last online communication for 2019. As we approach 2020 we would like to talk about friends for a moment. Naturally we have many friends from our life in Ontario. We moved to Bucerias not really knowing anyone. In short order, we have made friends in the Mexican community, the ex-pat community, and among those who winter here from both Canada and the United States. Not sure why, but Bucerias brings out the best in everyone. To all of you, our very best wishes for a healthy and happy new year.

I hesitate to say happy new year in Spanish, as my keyboard won’t put the ~ over the n so not going to go there. For those of you who speak English only, that might be considered an inside joke!

As the clock ticks down Tuesday night on New Year’s Eve, we head into 2020. Has a nice feel to it, 2020. Kind of like good vision one might say. The only 2020 vision I have ever enjoyed is hindsight. That is one of the reasons I no longer make New Year’s resolutions. The other reason is, my wife and I seem to get along better when I don’t make those champagne fueled toasts about the wonderful things I am going to do and be next year. Being loved and being happy is pretty simple, and works just fine!

Anybody remember New Year’s Eve 1999? All about Y2K.  When the clock strikes midnight, are the lights going to go out?  Will global technology crash?   The clock did strike midnight, and the lights continued to burn into 2000. That was 20 years ago!

The two of us at buceriaslifeintheslowlane.com are ready for the new year.

We hope you will join us for the ride.

BEST,

Kelly and Dennis
