Bucerias Eats in Style
As many of you know, we posted BUCERIAS EATS regularly before our world changed with Covid-19. While we take the virus seriously, life does go on, albeit in a masked, sanitized, handwashing kind of way. We decided to do our own version of BUCERIAS EATS.
Off to the fish market in La Cruz this morning. The vendor we purchase from had their staff outfitted with masks and face shields. Everything looked good. Red snapper, yellow fin tuna, mahi-mahi, shrimp. Settled for shrimp. Back home to peel and devein. Happy to note that the shrimp had been eating lots!
What will we have? Fettucine alfredo with fresh shrimp sounds good. Wait a minute, what about going to Karen’s Beach Bar and picking up a couple of fresh taco bowls? Things are taking shape. Karen’s has well spaced seating that was wiped down before we sat at our table. Naturally it made sense to have something cold while we were waiting for our order of taco salad bowls. When they were delivered to our table, the shells were still warm.
Back to the house to cook the shrimp. Lots of time to let them cool before making the salad.
Now we have to set the table, and arrange for some easy to reach beverages. Okay, the bar is set up, the taco shells are filled with garden salad, and topped with fresh shrimp. Cheers, my love! By the way, the water temperature is 30C.
For our friends back in Canada, the shrimp cost $7.03 for .62 Kilo.
